Don't miss Jesus
Church, how many times have our prejudice of someone kept us from going and talking to them about Jesus?
Nathanael in John 1:46 asks a question, “Can anything good be from Nazareth?”
Nazareth was hated by the Jews because a Roman army garrison was located there. Some speculate that Nathanael’s harsh comment was prompted by perceptions of an indifferent attitude or a questionable moral and religious reputation among the people of Nazareth.
Think about this: if he had kept his prejudice, he would not have gone to see about this Jesus! He would not have become a disciple and he would have MISSED Jesus!

We cannot afford to let stereotypes keep us from introducing others to WHO Jesus is! Here’s the crazy thing: Jesus KNOWS you and He KNOWS the person we often write off. He forgave you, gave you life and purpose and He desires to do the very same thing in others…who are we to question who comes to Jesus and who doesn’t?
Nathanael could have easily missed the Messiah and missed out on all that Jesus did during His ministry here on earth.
But he decided to GO and investigate this Jesus – let us not become stumbling blocks that keep others from going and investigating! Rather, let’s ask the Holy Spirit to give us opportunities to talk about Jesus – even when we have the mindset of, “Can anything good be from…..that town, that country, that specific neighborhood, etc…?”
Reflection
Consider this: How might our willingness to challenge our own prejudices and embrace opportunities to share Jesus with those we may have once overlooked shape not only our own spiritual journey but also the lives of those around us?

It seems to me there is more to that story. It seems to me that someone witnessed to him. He didn't just 'give up prejudices', he was informed that something unique had happened.
